Our Mission

We have some amazing dogs! We rescue from local kill shelters and put the time and effort into rehabilitating these dogs. Most dogs come out of the shelter with serious behavioral issues, we spend the time getting them ready for their forever homes.

Locally,The Joy Committee is a vocal advocate for the hungry and displaced. We feed the homeless each week, save animals from euthanasia, visit to elderly and so much more.

Hunger isn't seasonal, which is why our year-round food drive gets so much attention. Devote an afternoon to feeding the homeless with us and see firsthand the power of giving.

Spend a day giving!

Spend a day volunteering at the Escambia Animal Shelter. Once a week The Joy Committee volunteers to the Escambia Animal Shelter walking and bathing dogs as well as helping with adoptions! Join our team and help some awesome dogs in need!
