Locally,The Joy Committee is a vocal advocate for the hungry and displaced. We feed the homeless each month through our partership with the Waterfront Rescue Mission. We also visit nursing homes every month and play games or just visit.

Search our adoptable dogs!!

We specialize in German Shepherds, however we are an all breed rescue.  We rescue from local kill shelters and put the time and effort into rehabilitating these dogs. Most dogs come out of the shelter with serious behavioral issues, we spend the time getting them ready for their forever homes.

The Joy Committee is a non-profit 5013c organization devoted to passionately advocating for the hungry, rescuing animals from euthanasia, helping people in need, promoting random acts of kindness, supporting the elderly.  Find out how you can contribute to the future of someone in need through donations of money and time.

Hunger isn't seasonal, which is why our year-round food drive gets so much attention. Devote an afternoon to feeding the homeless with us and see firsthand the power of giving.
